1 Suffers Major Injuries in Carson Car Crash on 405 Freeway at Wilmington Avenue
Carson, California (November 3, 2021) – One person was seriously injured in a Wednesday morning multi-vehicle collision that happened on a freeway in Carson, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck occurred at around 5:55 a.m. on southbound 405 Freeway at Wilmington Avenue.
At least three vehicles were involved in the collision. One of them caught fire and became fully engulfed.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene.
One person who sustained a broken leg was helped by the paramedics at the scene and then taken to the hospital in an unknown condition.
The crash left the Nos. 1, 2, 3 and HOV lanes blocked for an unknown period.
CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
