Thousand Oaks, CA: 1 Hurt after SUV Slams Into Dump Truck on Highway 101

, California (November 3, 2021) – One person was injured after an SUV crashed into a dump Tuesday afternoon in Thousand Oaks, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The collision occurred just before 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, on the northbound Highway 101 at the truck scales at the top of the Conejo Grade.

According to the CHP, a sports utility vehicle slammed into a large double-trailer dump truck that was turning into the scales.

Minor Injury Collision in Thousand Oaks

The SUV driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital. The name of the victim and their condition were not immediately available.

Several lanes of the northbound 101 were temporarily closed following the wreck.

The crash remains under investigation by the CHP.
