2 Hospitalized after Rio Linda Car Accident on Dry Creek Road and Elkhorn Boulevard

Rio Linda, California (November 5, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol said two people were sent to the hospital after two vehicles collided Monday morning at an intersection in Rio Linda.
The incident occurred at around 7:30 a.m. on Dry Creek Road at Elkhorn Boulevard, just in front of Rio Linda High School.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene shortly after receiving reports about the crash.
The responders found two people with minor injuries. The victims were transported by ground ambulance to Kaiser Permanente Sacramento Medical Center and Mercy San Juan Medical Center.
The CHP report did not mention the cause of the collision that left southbound Dry Creek closed for more than an hour.
Police officers in the area are investigating the collision.
