Virginia Dougherty Killed in Oxnard Crash at H Street and Holly Avenue

Oxnard, California (November 8, 2021) – A deadly crash killed an elderly woman on Friday afternoon in Oxnard, according to the authorities.
The woman was identified by the Ventura County Medical Examiner's Office as Virginia Dougherty, 84, of Oxnard.
According to the authorities, Dougherty was driving her car westbound on Holly Avenue when she was involved in a collision with a car driven north on H Street by a 40-year-old Oxnard man.
The accident happened at around 4:43 p.m. November 5.

Dougherty was rushed to Ventura County Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased on Sunday.
The other driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to Community Memorial Hospital.
Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the collision, police said.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
