Marysville Motorcyclist Killed in Collision with Truck on Butte House Road in Yuba City

, California (November 9, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed Monday evening in a collision with a in Yuba City, Yuba City police said.

The deadly crash occurred at around 5:22 p.m. Monday, November 8, on Butte House Road at Oro Grande Street.

Police said video footage from the scene showed the motorcyclist speeding and passing vehicles on the right and left-hand side of the road prior to the collision.

First responders found the motorcyclist, a 31-year-old man, down on the roadway with major injuries.  He was then taken to Adventist Rideout Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The truck driver, a 69-year-old-year-old Yuba City man, who was unhurt, stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police. He was not impaired at the time of the accident.

It is undetermined if drugs or alcohol played a role on the part of the motorcyclist.  The name of the rider has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.

The crash remains under investigation.
