Byron, California (November 11, 2021) – Several people were hurt in a multi-vehicle accident in Byron on Thursday evening, according to the authorities.

Three vehicles were involved in the collision, reported to have happened just before 5:30 p.m. on Vasco Road near the County line.

At least two of the vehicles collided head-on.

Authorities said at least one party was trapped in the wreckage and was extricated by the East Fire Protection District.

A helicopter was requested for one party who sustained a head trauma.

Two other involved parties had minor injuries while a fourth party sustained moderate injuries.

The roadway was blocked temporarily as authorities worked at the scene.

An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
