Newbury Park Accident on Theresa Drive near Cathy Drive Results in Major Injuries
Newbury Park, California (November 16, 2021) – A Newbury Park accident involving two vehicles Monday evening resulted in major injuries, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
On November 15, at about 8:00 p.m., the CHP received a crash report involving a gray sedan and a parked white van in the 3118 block of Theresa Drive.
The sedan reportedly slammed into the parked van under unclear circumstances.
The incident caused one of the vehicles to catch fire, which firefighters were able to extinguish.
Major Injury 2-Vehicle Collision
The crash left at least one unidentified individual with major injuries.
At the time of the report, only a few details about the crash had been revealed.
The accident is currently being investigated.
Car Crash on Highway 101 in Ventura
The officer, whose name was not immediately disclosed, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities determined that the Jeep driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the accident. He was ultimately arrested and booked into the Ventura County Jail on suspicion of DUI.
The No. 1 and 2 lanes of Highway 101 were closed for several hours as the investigation and cleanup took place.
