At Least 1 Hospitalized after Half Moon Bay Collision on Cabrillo Highway 1 near Verde Road
Half Moon Bay, California (November 18, 2021) – At least one person was transported to the hospital after two vehicles crashed on a highway in Half Moon Bay Thursday afternoon.
At around 3:43 p.m., on November 18, the California Highway Patrol received a crash report involving two vehicles on State Route Cabrillo Highway 1, just north of Verde Road.
As per the dispatch, a black Ford Explorer SUV was rear-ended by a blue Volkswagen Golf on the northbound side of the highway, just north of the Marin's Beach parking lot entrance, for undetermined reasons.
Minor Injury Cabrillo Highway 1 Crash
The crash left a 50-year-old man with minor injuries. At least one unidentified person was attended to by medical personnel before being rushed to an area hospital for further medication.
Officials requested tow trucks to remove the wrecked Volkswagen and the SUV away from the scene.
The accident remains under active investigation.
