Woman Killed in Bakersfield Accident on Stockdale Highway

Bakersfield, California (November 19, 2021) – A woman was killed in a traffic collision in Bakersfield early Friday morning, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
The incident took place in the 14000 block of Stockdale Highway at about 12:09 a.m.
Police said a red Honda Civic and another vehicle were involved.

The woman who was driving the Civic was rushed to a hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.
A passenger in the Civic and the driver of the second vehicle were both hospitalized with major injuries.
Police said speed is suspected to have played a role in the incident.
An investigation to determine the cause of the wreck is ongoing.
