Chico Accident on Highway 99 near Garner Lane Seriously Injures 1 Person
Chico, California (November 20, 2021) –One person was hospitalized with serious injuries, including a head laceration, injuries after being involved in a multi-vehicle collision in Chico Friday afternoon.
The major injury crash happened on Highway 99, just south of Garner Lane, shortly after 5:30 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol did not immediately establish how the three vehicles crashed on the northbound side of the roadway near DeGarmo Park.
One of the involved vehicles, a Ford Escape, acquired major rear-end damage upon the impact.
Major Injury Chico Multi-Vehicle Accident
The accident left one person with major injuries. The patient was attended to by medical personnel before being taken to the Enloe Medical Center for further medication.
The crash resulted in the closure of the northbound lanes of Highway 99 near Garner for an unknown time.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
