3 Adults, 2 Juveniles Injured in Sylmar Crash on Golden State (5) Freeway at Roxford Street
Sylmar, California (November 24, 2021) – At least five people were injured Wednesday evening in a multi-vehicle crash in Sylmar, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
At around 5:25 p.m., authorities received a report about the accident in the southbound lanes of the Golden State (5) Freeway at Roxford Street.
Six vehicles were involved in the crash. Details on what led up to the collision were not immediately available.
The authorities said at least one person was possibly ejected from their vehicle during the collision.
Medical personnel responded to the scene and rendered aid to at least five people, including two children. The identities of the patients and the severity of their injuries were not immediately disclosed.
Authorities closed the No. 1 lane of the southbound 5 Freeway at Roxford Street for an unknown time due to the crash.
No other details were given.
The crash remains under investigation.
