CHP Investigating Minor Injury Olancha Accident on Highway 395 near Cactus Flats Road
Olancha, California (November 26, 2021) – An accident involving a 2011 International semi-truck trailer Wednesday morning in Olancha resulted in minor injuries.
The collision happened on US Highway 395 shortly after 11:40 a.m. November 24
The accident began when the semi-truck trailer carrying cardboard travelling north on US-395 just south of Cactus Flats Road failed to see northbound traffic coming to a stop due to road construction.
In the process, the semi-truck rear-ended a travel trailer and pickup.
Due to the impact, the travel trailer and pickup both ended up striking the rear of a Toyota SUV after they moved forward.
Additionally, the vehicles caught fire which firefighters extinguished
Authorities affirmed that at least one person sustained minor injuries in the collision.
The accident remains under active investigation.
