Malcolm Erbst Killed in Fontana 2-Vehicle Accident on Jurupa Avenue

Fontana, California (November 29, 2021) – 68-year-old Malcolm Erbst has been identified as the Apple Valley man who died following a two-vehicle collision Friday morning in southern Fontana, according to a report by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner's Division.
The deadly crash involving a pickup truck and an American Medical Response ambulance took place at about 10:19 a.m., on November 26, in the 13000 block of Jurupa Avenue.
Although it was not immediately established how the collision occurred on the roadway, the ambulance acquired major damage while the pickup truck overturned and came to a stop back on its wheels.
Also, the pickup truck motorist and a dog were pinned inside the wreckage.

The pickup operator, Malcolm Erbst, was declared dead at the scene. An animal control officer put the dog to sleep on the scene since it was severely injured.
As per Fontana Police Department officers, the medical personnel inside the ambulance sustained moderate injuries in the crash and were rushed to local hospitals for treatment.
An investigation into the deadly crash is underway.
