Bryan Jara Jr. ID'd as Motorcyclist Killed in Shafter Crash on Palm Avenue near Fresno Avenue
Shafter, California (November 29, 2021) – Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who died Friday evening in a traffic crash in Shafter as Bryan Steven Jara Jr., 24, of Wasco.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at around 4:56 p.m. Friday, November 26, on Palm Avenue, just north of Fresno Avenue.
The CHP said Jara Jr. was riding a Suzuki motorcycle northbound on Palm Avenue when he made hard braking.
The motorcycle overturned, ejecting Jara Jr. onto the southbound side, where he was hit by a 2014 Nissan Sentra driven by Jaime Sandoval.

Jara Jr. died at the site of the collision.
Sandoval suffered minor injuries and declined medical attention.
Authorities said alcohol and drugs were not suspected in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
