County, California (November 30, 2021) – The Santa Cruz County Coroner's Bureau has identified the man who died Monday morning following a traffic collision in as Bussie James Alton, 59, of .

The crash happened just before 6:30 a.m. Monday, November 29, on Highway 129 near Harvest Drive, the California Highway Patrol reported.

A 2006 Toyota Tacoma and a 2019 Ford F-650 were traveling westbound on Highway 129 when, for unknown reasons, the two vehicles collided, the CHP.

Due to the impact, the two vehicles overturned and the Ford's flatbed utility trailer became detached. The trailer came to a halt in the eastbound lanes and was hit by an oncoming Chevrolet driven by Alton.

Victim in Fatal Car Crash in Watsonville Identified

Alton was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two people were injured in the collision and were transported to the hospital for treatment.

No additional information about the accident was provided.
