Man, Woman Hospitalized after Victorville Crash on Hesperia Road and Winona Street
Victorville, California (December 1, 2021) – A man was airlifted to the hospital with critical injuries after a two-vehicle collision that happened Tuesday afternoon at an intersection in Victorville, as per a local news source.
The incident occurred at about 2:06 p.m. at Hesperia Road and Winona Street.
Authorities said the accident involved a white Corvette and a white Mercedez Benz that collided for unknown reasons.
Victorville City firefighters responded to the scene after receiving reports of the accident.
The firefighters requested an air ambulance to airlift the male driver of the Corvette, who was critically injured. Mercy Air 22 landed at the Desert Valley helipad and transported the man to Loma Linda University Medical Center.
A witness said the driver of the Corvette was unable to move or be removed by Good Samaritans who had stopped to help.
The female driver of the Mercedes was also taken to a local hospital by a ground ambulance.
Officers with the Victorville Police Department are investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
