Fresno Accident on Highway 99 near Golden State Boulevard Seriously Injures 1

Fresno, California (November 30, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a multi-vehicle collision that left one person with serious injuries on a highway in Fresno Monday afternoon.
The CHP said the accident involving a big rig carrying 40000 lbs of fresh cheese happened on Highway 99, just south of Golden State Boulevard, at approximately 4:19 p.m. on November 29.
As per the disptach, three vehicles that crashed on the southbound side of the roadway for undetermined reasons.
Due to the impact, a woman was pinned inside the wreckage and rescued by firefighters.
Major Injury Fresno Accident
The unidentified rescued victim sustained major injuries following the accident. She was rushed to an area hospital for treatment of the injuries, including an inch-long laceration on her right wrist.
The crash resulted in the closure of the southbound lanes of Highway 99 near Golden State for an unknown time.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
