, California (December 2, 2021) – A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a crash that injured several people in Chico on Tuesday night.

The incident happened on Highway 32 at Meridian Road on Tuesday, November 30.

According to authorities, Adan Reyes, 32, of Chico, was driving a 2005 Dodge Neon westbound on Highway 32 and overtaking several vehicles when he rear-ended a Mitsubishi pickup.

The pickup, which was southbound on Meridian Road, had stopped at the stop sign at the intersection and was trying to make a right turn.

The impact caused the pickup to roll onto its side.

5 Injured in Chico DUI Crash on Highway 32 

The pickup was driven by a Sun City man and had three passengers, including a 7-year-old child.

All parties involved in the crash were taken to hospital with non-critical injuries.

Reyes was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

The accident is under investigation.
