Beaumont Accident on 60 Freeway near Western Knolls Avenue Sends 1 Person to Hospital
Beaumont, California (December 2, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a Beaumont two-vehicle crash that left at least one person with serious injuries.
The major injury car collision took place on the 60 Freeway, just east of Western Knolls Avenue, at about 5:26 p.m.
A white Ford Explorer reportedly crashed with a white semi-truck on the westbound side of the interstates under unclear circumstances.
Due to the impact, the SUV overturned and came to a stop on its roof, and a person was trapped inside it.
The victim was rescued by firefighters and the paramedics, who responded to the scene shortly after the crash. The unidentified patient was then rushed to a local hospital for treatment of major injuries.
Authorities closed down a section of the westbound lanes of the 60 Freeway near Western Knolls as they investigated and cleared the scene.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
