The 12:31 p.m. crash took place in the area of Avenue 20 and Road 20.

According to CHP, a big rig collided with a Ford F-150 pickup at the intersection. The pickup truck sustained major front-end damage as a result of the crash.

Truck Accident in Berenda Sends 1 To Hospital

The driver of the pickup truck was trapped inside their vehicle and had to be extricated by fire crews. The patient was then taken by medical personnel to Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries.

The roadway was closed due to the crash.
