, California (December 3, 2021) – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle accident involving a big rig that happened Friday morning in South , as per a local news source.

The incident occurred at about 3:25 a.m. on Westbound (60) Freeway near the Peck Road off-ramp.

According to the California Highway Patrol, several vehicles, including a big rig and a black Mercedes SUV, were involved in the accident.

Emergency crews responded and pronounced one person dead at the scene.

It remained unclear if there were parties injured in the collision.

Three westbound traffic lanes of the freeway were closed following the wreck.

CHP is investigating the incident.
