1 Killed in Gilroy Car Crash on Masten Avenue and 6th Street

Gilroy, California (December 3, 2021) – One person died in a traffic collision that also caused multiple road closures Friday morning in Gilroy, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck occurred at around 6:34 p.m. on Masten Avenue at 6th Street.
According to the CHP report, a gray Toyota and a black sedan collided for unknown reasons.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene after receiving reports about the accident.
The crash left one person dead.
The wreck also affected traffic in the area as investigators closed Masten Avenue between Highway 101 and Monterey Road, as well as 6th Street and Manna Way at Masten Avenue.
School bus drivers ferrying students to Rucker Elementary School were advised to use Monterey Road. The drivers would, however, not be able to exit at 6th Street.
