Man in His Mid-20s Killed in University Park Scooter Accident at Flower Street and Adams Boulevard
South Los Angeles, California (December 3, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Friday morning traffic accident that killed a male scooter rider in the University Park area of South Los Angeles.
The deadly scooter accident occurred at about 5:00 a.m. at Flower Street and Adams Boulevard near 110 Freeway, about five blocks from the UCS campus.
According to the police, a car allegedly crashed into a utility box and toppled a light pole before striking the male scooter rider.

Sadly, the rider, described as a man in his mid-20s, sustained fatal injuries in the accident. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Police determined that the motorist was impaired at the time of the collision.
An investigation into the collision is underway.
