, California (December 6, 2021) – The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the man who died early Saturday morning following a two-vehicle collision in San Diego as Joseph Fortunato Ghio, 39.

The incident took place in the 2900 block of Lytton Street at around 3:59 a.m. on December 4.

Authorities said a blue Chevrolet HHR, driven by Ghio, was heading east on Lytton Street when it collided with a gray Nissan Altima that was traveling south on Rosecrans Street.

San Diego Man Killed in Lytton Street Accident

Ghio, a San Diego resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second driver, a 27-year-old man, was hospitalized with minor injuries.

The crash is under investigation by the San Diego Police Department.
