, California (December 6, 2021) – One person was hospitalized late Sunday night following an alleged DUI crash on a highway in central Fresno, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred just after 11:30 p.m. Sunday, December 5, on the southbound side of near Shields Avenue.

CHP said an SUV was traveling southbound on Highway 41 when it collided with another vehicle.

As a result of the collision, the SUV flipped onto its side while the other vehicle slammed into the center divider.

1 Injured, 1 Arrested after Fresno DUI Crash

The SUV driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The name of the patient and their condition were not immediately known.

The other driver, who was unhurt, was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

The crash remains under investigation.
