David Chelini, Karen Baker, Donna Chelini and Steven Chelini ID'd as 4 People Killed in Visalia Plane Crash at Road 68 and Avenue 288

Visalia, California (December 6, 2021) – Authorities have identified the four people who died Saturday evening in a plane crash near Visalia Municipal Airport as members of a family from Sacramento.
The victims were David Chelini, 78, his nephew Steven Chelini, 58, and his two daughters Karen Baker, 46, and Donna Chelini, 48.
The accident occurred at around 6:35 p.m. Saturday, December 4, at Road 68 and Avenue 288, a few miles west of the airport.
Authorities said a single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza aircraft had taken off from Visalia Municipal Airport when it crashed 16 seconds later at Road 68 and Avenue 288. It was not immediately clear where the plane was headed.

All occupants of the plane died in the wreck.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the incident.
