Nipton, California (December 9, 2021) – One person was hospitalized after a traffic collision involving a semi- that happened Wednesday afternoon in Nipton, the California Highway Patrol said.

The wreck occurred at about 12:19 p.m. on northbound , near the Baker Boulevard off-ramp.

As per the report, a gray Chrysler collided with a semi-truck under unclear circumstances. The Chrysler possibly rolled over in the accident.

The driver of the Chrysler suffered minor injuries to the arm. The patient was taken to Baker airport to fly out to Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities are investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
