Michael Fredrickson Hospitalized after Wallace Head-On Crash on Highway 12 near Wards Avenue

Wallace, California (December 9, 2021) – Michael Fredrickson, 52, of Farmington, was injured after being involved in a Thursday morning deadly head-on collision in Wallace, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at around 10:55 a.m. on Highway 12, just east of Wards Avenue.
CHP said a 2005 Dodge Neon was traveling eastbound on Highway 12 at an unspecified speed when, for unknown reasons, the driver allowed the vehicle to drift across a double-yellow line and enter the opposite lane.
The Dodge Neon reportedly collided head-on with a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Fredrickson, who was heading westbound on Highway 12 at about 55 miles per hour.
After the impact, the Dodge Neon veered off the roadway and stopped on the south shoulder while the Chevrolet Silverado came to a stop partially off the road along the north shoulder.

Traffic Collisions in California
California is among the states that record the highest number of traffic collisions every year. Most of the accidents are caused by avoidable human factors, including distracted driving, speeding, traffic violation, drunk driving, following too closely, and more. Other factors such as bad weather and slick roads also cause car accidents but to a lesser degree.
While most of the auto accidents cause property damage and minor injuries only, high-impact collisions almost always result in major injury or fatality.
Collisions resulting in major injuries are life-altering, and proper legal action should be taken to alleviate the effects of such accidents.
