Child Killed, 2 Others Injured in Desert Hot Springs Crash on Corkill Road

Desert Hot Springs, California (December 9, 2021) – A child was killed and two others injured in a tragic crash in Desert Hot Springs Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
The wreck involved a sedan and a school bus and occurred in the 17500 block of Corkill Road just before 4 p.m.
Authorities said the sedan rear-ended the bus, then went around it and struck four children standing next to the bus.

One of the victims died at the scene.
A second child had minor injuries while the third suffered serious injuries.
The bus was reportedly from Julius Corsini Elementary School.
