34-Year-Old Highland Man, 64-Year-Old Yucaipa Man Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash at Rialto Avenue and Dallas Avenue in San Bernardino

San Bernardino, California (December 12, 2021) – Two men were killed early Sunday morning in a two-vehicle collision in San Bernardino, authorities said.
The deadly crash happened at around 2:11 a.m. at the intersection of Rialto Avenue and Dallas Avenue.
According to the San Bernardino Police Department, a 34-year-old Highland man was driving westbound on Rialto Avenue at a high rate of speed when, for an undetermined reason, he lost control of his 1997 Mercedes Benz, which crossed the double yellow line into the opposite lane.
The Mercedes reportedly slid into the path of an eastbound 2006 Honda Civic driven by a 64-year-old Yucaipa man. The Honda ultimately slammed into the side of the Mercedes.
The impact caused the Mercedes to split into two halves and eject the driver onto the roadway.
2-Vehicle Crash in San Bernardino Kills 2
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. The two drivers were sole occupants of their respective vehicles, authorities said.
Alcohol and speed played a role in the crash.
