1 Injured in Bridgeport Car Crash on Highway 395 in Walker River Canyon

Mono County, California (December 14, 2021) – At least one person was injured in a collision involving an Eastern Sierra Unified School District bus in Walker River Canyon on Monday evening.
The crash was reported at about 4:20 p.m. on December 13, on Highway 395, just south of Bridgeport, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Coleville resident Lawrence Anderson was carrying eight students when he lost control for unknown reasons and drifted across the centerline.

The bus then struck a Toyota Tacoma driven by Chula Vista resident Robert Morten.
A passenger in the Toyota was pinned in the vehicle and had to be extricated before being transported to the hospital with moderate injuries.
The crash closed the highway for more than an hour.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
