At Least 1 Killed in Modesto Crash on Skittone Road and Highway 108
Modesto, California (December 14, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal car collision that happened Tuesday morning in Modesto.
According to CHP, the wreck took place at about 9:44 a.m. on Skittone Road and Highway 108.
A white 2013 Ford Edge SUV collided with a green Chevrolet vehicle under unclear circumstances. The SUV overturned in the crash.
Riverbank Police Department, AMR and firefighters responded to the scene.
Authorities said the crash resulted in a fatality. It was not clear how many other parties were involved in the accident and if they were injured.
Highway 108 was closed in both directions at Skittone Road following the collision. Westbound traffic was diverted onto Coffee Road.
All lanes were reopened at 11:36 a.m.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
