2 Redlands High Schoolgirls Struck and Injured by Car on Citrus Avenue

(December 15, 2021) – Two 11th graders at High were injured after being struck by a car in a crosswalk outside their school in Redlands on Wednesday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Citrus Avenue at Church Street at about 7:30 a.m.

The schoolgirls were crossing Citrus Avenue when a Toyota pickup that was turning left from southbound Church onto eastbound Citrus struck them.

The girls suffered moderate injuries in the accident and were transported to the hospital for treatment.

The driver was determined not to have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the accident.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
