Sonia Mata Critically Injured in Sacramento Crash at Calvine Road and Power Inn Road
Sacramento County, California (December 16, 2021) – Sonia Mata, 46, was critically injured after being involved in a fatal crash at an intersection in Sacramento on Saturday.
The deadly accident occurred on Saturday, December 11, at the intersection of Calvine Road and Power Inn Road.
Three vehicles collided at the intersection under unclear circumstances reasons.
Mata and her two sons, 13-year-old LauReal Mata and 8-year-old LaBraun Brown, were transported to a hospital, where Brown succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday, December 14.
Three other people sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash.
A GoFundMe account has been created to help cover funeral costs and ongoing medical expenses for Sonia and LauReal Mata.
The crash remains under investigation.
