At Least 1 Injured in Lake Elsinore Crash on Ortega Highway 74 near Ortega Oaks Candy Store
Lake Elsinore, California (December 16, 2021) – At least one person was injured in a crash that occurred in Lake Elsinore on Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident happened on Ortega Highway 74 near Ortega Oaks Candy Store at around 5:08 a.m.
CHP said a red Honda Fit was traveling west on Highway 74 when it drifted into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with an oncoming green Jeep.

The man driving the Jeep complained of pain and was transported to Inland Valley Medical Center.
Both directions of Highway 74 were closed as authorities worked at the scene.
The incident is under investigation.
