Rider Killed in Seal Beach Motorcycle Accident on 405 Freeway near Seal Beach Boulevard

Seal Beach, California (December 17, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed in a Thursday afternoon traffic collision that happened on a freeway in Seal Beach, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred at around 3:41 p.m. on northbound 405 Freeway, near Seal Beach Boulevard.
As per the report, the accident involved a motorcycle, a white Subaru, and two other vehicles.
The motorcyclist went down after the impact and was blocking the HOV lane. The motorcycle and another vehicle were blocking the slow lane.
A witness told authorities that the rider was speeding before the crash, and the area was raining. Good Samaritans were administering CPR to the injured biker.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. A coroner representative was requested to respond.
Several traffic lanes remained blocked for an unknown period following the accident.
Authorities did not immediately establish the cause of the collision, but an investigation is ongoing.
