Dwayne Norton Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash at Highways 70 and 89 in Blairsden

Plumas County, California (December 17, 2021) – 51-year-old Dwayne Elliot Norton has been identified as one of two men who were injured Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision at an intersection near Blairsden in Plumas County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred shortly before 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Highways 70 and 89.

CHP said Norton, a resident, was driving a 2004 black Honda Pilot eastbound on Highway 70 towards when he crashed into the left side of a 1999 green Jeep Cherokee that was attempting to make a left turn onto westbound Highway 70.

2 Hospitalized after Plumas County Crash

Norton was taken by ground ambulance to Renown Medical Center while the driver of the Jeep was airlifted to the same hospital. Their condition was not immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
