San Jose, CA: Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Capitol Expressway

, California (December 19, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Friday evening traffic accident that killed a motorcyclist in San Jose.

The deadly occurred at about 6:15 p.m., on December 17, on Capitol Expressway near Highway 87 exit.

According to the officials, the rider was traveling eastbound on Capitol Expressway and was attempting to split the No. 1 and No. 2 lanes when it crashed into a 2007 Chevrolet pick-up that was in the No. 1 lane.

As a result of the crash impact, the rider was reportedly ejected onto the roadway where he was struck by a 2020 Tesla Model Y that was traveling in the No. 2 lane.

Sadly, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The involved drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
