At Least One Person Seriously Injured in East Hemet Car Crash at Stetson Avenue and Cornell Street
East Hemet, California (December 20, 2021) – At least one person was seriously injured Sunday afternoon in a traffic crash involving two vehicles at an intersection in East Hemet, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The two-car wreck happened at around 1:23 p.m. Sunday, December 19, at the intersection of Stetson Avenue and Cornell Street near the Hemet High School.
The CHP report states that a Kia Rio collided with another vehicle at the intersection under unclear circumstances.
The impact caused the Kia to overturn and land onto its side.
Major Injury Crash in East Hemet
Emergency responders took one person to a local hospital with major injuries. The name and condition of the patient were not immediately available.
Police blocked the intersection of Stetson Avenue and Cornell Street due to the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
