1 Injured in Rancho Cordova Car Crash on Highway 50 near Sunrise Boulevard Off-Ramp
Rancho Cordova, California (December 20, 2021) – One person was hospitalized Monday morning after a car accident that happened in Rancho Cordova, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident happened at about 7:22 a.m. on eastbound Highway 50 near the Sunrise Boulevard off-ramp.
CHP said the wreck involved a white Dodge Ram pickup truck and a black BMW sedan.
Reportedly, the sedan was recklessly driving prior to the collision.
The Sacramento Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the scene to find one person on the ground.
One person suffered minor injuries in the accident. The patient was taken to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment.
The sedan acquired major front-end damage, and the pickup truck had moderate rear-end damage.
Authorities are investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
