Ricardo Ramirez ID'd as Driver Killed in Modesto Crash on Highway 132
Modesto, California (December 22, 2021) – Ricardo Ramirez, 64, of Patterson has been identified as the driver who was killed in a traffic collision that occurred near Modesto on Tuesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred on Highway 132 at Gates Road at around 6:11 p.m.
CHP said Ramirez was driving a Honda Civic northbound on Gates Road when he stopped for a stop sign at Highway 132.
Ramirez then proceeded into the intersection and was struck by a big rig traveling on Highway 132.

CHP said Ramirez died at the scene of the collision.
The operator of the big rig, Manjit Grewal, 58, of Madera, was unhurt in the collision.
The incident is under investigation.
