Danielle Harder Injured in Fatal 2-Vehicle Crash on Monte Vista Avenue in Turlock

, California (December 22, 2021) – Danielle Harder, 25, of , was seriously injured after being involved in a deadly car crash Monday night west of Turlock.

The crash happened at around 11:10 p.m. Monday, December 20, in the area of Monte Avenue and Carpenter Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Russell Bennett, 33, of , was driving a Chevrolet eastbound on Monte Vista Avenue when he failed to stop for a red light at Carpenter Road and collided with a southbound Nissan, which didn't have a stop sign.

As a result of the collision, the Chevrolet rolled over multiple times.

Russell Bennett Killed in Turlock Car Crash

Bennett and his passenger, Harder, were both ejected from the vehicle. Bennett, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene while Harder, who was belted, was transported to a hospital with major injuries.

The driver of the Nissan, Victor Flores Barrera, 44, of Modesto, was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

Authorities believed alcohol and/or drugs played a role in the crash.

The collision remains under investigation.
