One Teen Killed, Another Arrested after Fallbrook Car Crash on Mission Road near Stagecoach Lane

Fallbrook, California (December 23, 2021) – A teenager was killed early Thursday morning in a car crash near Fallbrook Union High School in Fallbrook, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly collision occurred at around 2:45 a.m. on South Mission Road, just north of Stagecoach Lane.
CHP said a 19-year-old Fallbrook man was driving a Subaru BRZ southbound on Mission Road when, for unknown reasons, he drifted to the left, off the roadway and struck several trees.
A Subaru Outback that was also traveling southbound in the right lane collided with debris from the collision.
Teen Driver Killed, Another Arrested in Fatal Fallbrook Crash
The 19-year-old man driving the Subaru BRZ was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
According to the CHP, the driver of the Subaru Outback, an 18-year-old from Vista, was arrested on suspicion of reckless driving.
Authorities did not believe intoxication played a role in the crash.
