Irene Hernandez Killed in Fontana Pedestrian Crash on 15 freeway near Duncan Canyon Road
Fontana, California (December 24, 2021) – Irene Hernandez, 29, has been identified as the pedestrian who died after being struck by a car in Fontana on Thursday afternoon.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened at about 3:09 p.m. December 23rd, on the southbound 15 freeway, north of Duncan Canyon Road.
The California Highway Patrol said a black Chrysler 300 spun out and collided with Irene who was standing outside of her white Mercedes Benz.
Irene was pronounced dead at the scene by the San Bernardino County Coroner.
The driver of the black Chrysler stayed at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
