19-year-old Fallbrook man Killed in Fallbrook Crash on South Mission Road north of Stagecoach Lane

Fallbrook, California (December 25, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Thursday morning two-vehicle accident that killed a 19-year-old Fallbrook man in Fallbrook.
The deadly accident occurred at about 2:45 a.m., on December 23, in the southbound lanes of South Mission Road north of Stagecoach Lane.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 19-year-old Fallbrook man was driving a Subaru BRZ coup southbound on South Mission Road next to a Subaru Outback driven by an 18-year-old man from Vista when the collision occurred.
The Fallbrook man then veered to the left, off the roadway, and collided with several trees. The Subaru Outback ran into debris from that collision.

Sadly, the Fallbrook man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Intoxication was not suspected of having played a role in the accident. But the Fallbrook man was reportedly arrested on suspicion of reckless driving.
Traffic on the southbound and northbound lanes of South Mission Road was stopped for an unknown period due to the accident.
More details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
