5 People Injured, 1 Seriously in Shingletown Crash on Highway 44 near Miller Ranch Road

Shingletown, California (December 26, 2021) – Five people were injured, one critically in a Saturday afternoon traffic accident in Shingletown, authorities said.
The major injury accident occurred at about 1:30 p.m., on December 25, on Highway 44 near Miller Ranch Road.
According to the officials, one of the vehicles lost control while driving on the snow and ice-covered two-lane mountain highway and crashed head-on into another car.
As a result of the crash impact, both vehicles veered off the roadway. One of the cars went off an embankment, and the other came to a rest with its back end on top of a guardrail.
5 Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 44
Five people were injured in the accident. One was critically hurt and was flown to Mercy Medical Center in Redding.
Traffic on the Highway was stopped for about two hours due to the collision.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
