At Least 4 Killed in El Cajon Plane Crash on Pepper Drive near North Mollison

El Cajon, California (December 28, 2021) – The authorities have confirmed that four people were on board a plane that crashed into a residential area near El Cajon on Monday evening.
According to authorities, the incident happened in the unincorporated Bostonia neighborhood in the area of Pepper Drive and North Mollison at about 7:15 p.m. December 27.
The Learjet 35A business jet departed from John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana and was scheduled to land at Gillespie Field airport when it crashed.
The plane clipped power lines in the area, crashed and burst into flames.
Fatalities Reported in El Cajon Plane Crash
Deputies from the San Diego County Sheriff's Department's Santee and Lakeside stations responded to the crash and confirmed that all the occupants were killed in the crash.
No one on the ground was injured or killed.
Multiple residents in the area were left without power due to the collision.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.
