, California (December 28, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Tuesday morning traffic accident that killed a 36-year-old motorcyclist from in Menlo Park.

The deadly accident occurred at about 3:50 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Highway 101, just north of Willow Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle crashed into the rear right passenger door of a Honda Accord on the highway in unclear circumstances.

Sadly, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Honda suffered injuries, but they were not life-threatening.

Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
