Deryl Dewitt ID'd as Pedestrian Killed in McKee Road Crash near Interstate 680 in San Jose
San Jose, California (December 29, 2021) – The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner's Bureau has identified the pedestrian who was killed after being struck by two vehicles last week on Monday in San Jose as Deryl Dewitt, 54.
The deadly crash happened at around 7:00 a.m. Monday, December 20 on McKee Road near Interstate 680.
Authorities said Dewitt was walking across McKee Road between crosswalks when an eastbound 2014 Honda sedan hit him. He was then struck by a 2013 Mazda sedan.
Victim in Deadly San Jose Pedestrian Accident Identified
Dewitt died in the crash.
Both drivers stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police.
No further details about the crash were immediately provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
