Joshua Simmons ID'd as Pedestrian Killed in Tulare Crash at Bardsley Avenue and Spruce Street
Tulare, California (January 03, 2022) – Joshua Simmons, 41, has been identified as the male pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle on Sunday night in Tulare, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident occurred at the intersection of Bardsley Avenue and Spruce Street.
According to the police, Simmons was walking northbound in a crosswalk on Bardsley Avenue when a car, driven by 41-year-old Danny Correa of Visalia, going eastbound on the roadway struck him in the number 2 lane.

Simmons was rushed to Kaweah Health Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Correa's car became disabled near the scene. Correa showed signs of being under the influence at the time of the Accident. He was booked at the Tulare County Sheriff's South County Detention Facility.
More details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
